Die Malerin Jacqueline Ditt hat in ihrer 25 jährigen Tätigkeit über 600 Kunstwerke kreiert, davon grösstenteils Gemälde aber auch zahlreiche Druckgrafiken. Ihre Ausstellungen behandelten in der Vergangenheit meistens ganz bestimmte Themenkreise, die von ihr in Bilderzyklen umgesetzt wurden.
Die Ausstellung "No Topic - Kein Thema" ist im Gegensatz dazu der spontanen Idee gewidmet, es wird hier also thematisch kein direkter Zusammenhang hergestellt. Was die Bilder dennoch verbindet ist der zeitliche Kontext, beziehungsweise der Zeitgeist der unser aller Leben bewusst oder unbewusst beeinflusst.
Ist es möglich dass ein Lied nichts bedeuten? Es ist sehr wahrscheinlich dass es schon vorgekommen ist, aber in Mario Stracks aktuellem Stück ist der Titel "Nothing" (nichts) vorsätzlich irreführend. Inmitten einer Flut von "Liedern mit Botschaft" behautet dieses von sich, ohne eine solche auszukommen und entlarvt die ach so wichtigen Geschichten der neuen Betulichkeit als hohle Phrasen. Ein typographisches Video illustriert die Nummer mit hübschen, bewegten Schlagworten. Da stellt sich die Frage, gibt es auch echten Inhalt? Natürlich gibt es den - nackte Poesie.

During her occupation as a painter, Jacqueline Ditt created over 600 artworks in 25 years, for the most part these are paintings but she also did a lot of graphics. In the past her exhibitions mostly were about specific themes she implemented as picture cycles.
In contrast to this, the recent exhibition "No topic" is dedicated to the idea on-the-fly, so there is no direct correlation in subjects. Nevertheless the pictures are connected in temporal context, respectively the spirit of the age, which consciously or unconsciously affects our lives.
Is it possible that a song means nothing? It is highly probable that it has happened, but in Mario Strack's recent piece "Nothing" the title is deliberately misleading. Within a torrent of "songs with a message" this one claims to get along without one and unmasks the oh so important stories of the new fussiness as empty phrases. A typographic clip illustrates the track with pretty, animated catchwords. So the question arises, is there a real substance? Of course there is - naked poetry.
