In der urbanen Enge der Grosstadt, gewinnt man manchmal ungewollt Einblicke in das Leben der anderen. Diesem Thema hat sich die Malerin Jacqueline Ditt in ihrer Ausstellung "Behind Venetian Blinds" gewidmet. Hinter den Jalousien ihrer Wohnungen fühlen sich die Menschen privat und ungestört, einigen ist es anscheinend sogar egal, ob das Gegenüber sie wahrnimmt oder sie finden den Gedanken offenbar ganz interessant. Bei aller Anonymität der Singles und Paare entsteht eine gewisse "Vertrautheit" bzw. distanzierte Beziehung zu den anderen, obwohl man sich meist nicht wirklich kennt.
Vierzehn Jahre nach "Dance the Bomb" greift Mario Strack erneut das Thema Krieg auf. Das, im ersten Moment abwegig erscheinende Konzept, aus Rüstungsgütern bzw. deren Namen Lyrik zu machen, erweist sich als erstaunlich einfach umsetzbar. Die tragenden Bestandteile des Textes von "Disarmament", dem aktuellen Song, sind vor allem der männlichen Hälfte unserer Gesellschaft so vertraut, dass man verblüfft gewahr wird, wie tief verwurzelt der Krieg, seine Waffen und mithin das Töten in unserer Kultur sind. Dies triff auch auf die Bilder zu, mit denen der Künstler den Clip zum Song illustriert hat. Schon einfache Umrisse genügen und jeder kleine Junge kann sofort alle diese grossartigen Errungenschaften unserer Technik benennen und zuordnen.

In the tightness of the bulk city, one sometimes wins inadvertently insite into the life of the others. This is the topic of Jacqueline Ditt‘s exhibition "Behind Venetian Blinds". Behind the shutters of their dwellings, humans feel private and unimpaired, apparently they don't care to be noticed by their opposite ever and anon it seems that some of them like the idea. So with all anonymity of the singles and pairs a certain "confidenceness" or dissociated relationship with the others may develop, although one does not really know each other usually.
Fourteen years after "Dance the Bomb" Mario Strack again, revisits the topic War. The concept of making lyrics out of military equipment resp. their names, may seem odd at the first look but turns out as amazingly simple to realize. The significant parts in the words of the new song "Disarmament", are so common, especially to the male half of our society, that one has to notice, perplexed, how deeply the war, its weapons and therefore the killing is rooted within our culture. Same thing with the graphics, used by the artist to illustrate the Clip. It only takes simple shapes and every little boy can specify and assign these gorgeous achievements of our technology.
